In one of the local Aboriginal dialects. A romantic country escape on the Manning River, in the valley of Coneac.
The property
Amaroo Escape is the Gloucester and Barrington region's premier adults-only riverfront luxury eco glamping experience — an idyllic couples or solo travellers retreat, over 450 acres of farm and bushland, less than twenty minutes from Gloucester.
A purpose-built luxury tent: slow mornings, cosy evenings, a plush king bed, air-conditioning, a clawfoot bath, a walk-in shower and a custom kitchenette. Large glass sliding doors hold the river and bushland in frame. As soon as you walk inside you will feel at home — relaxed, and at one with nature.
Your stay includes a complimentary 4WD side-by-side UTV, subject to conditions and weather. Take the road less travelled to valley views, picnic spots, and a secluded swimming hole at the back of the property, reachable only by 4WD.
Kangaroos, wallabies, ducks, goannas, eastern water dragons, turtles, frogs, birds, an occasional shy koala and an elusive platypus are your neighbours. Switch off. Come back to a simpler world. Enjoy the genuine, natural and peaceful surrounds of this beautiful place on the river.
